Maybe you have always wanted to learn welding and blacksmilthing skills, but have just never had the chance.
This is your perfect opportunity!
We are opening up Art Hunt's humble farm Workshop for local artist and teacher, Tony Moretti to introduce a small class of eager participants to skills including stick arc welding, mig welding, cutting, drilling, and connecting methods. It will be a safe and welcoming environment to learn essential fabrication and blacksmithing skills, using both modern mechanical and traditional blacksmithing techniques.
This is a creative skill building workshop, geared towards creating sculptural and functional work. Tony and the class will work on a collaborative project, a sculptural archway trellis. And each participant will be able to work on a small take home piece, a flower or animal.
No previous experience necessary.
All skill levels welcomed and challenged.
Please be prepared with eye protection, ear plugs, work gloves, and sturdy footwear.
Also, if you have heat resistant welding gloves, please bring them.
We will be working both inside and outside of the workshop.
Be prepared for weather and elements.
Food & Libations:
Lunch and an end of day glass of wine is included in your registration.
We encourage you to eat a hearty breakfast before arriving for instruction.
Please feel welcome to bring snacks and non-alcoholic beverages to consume throughout the day.
We will have picnic snacks, refreshments, and coffee/tea available for purchase in our tasting room.
We will raise a glass together after tools, equipment, and projects are safely put away.
