Things to Know:
This is a rain or shine event:
Although we have ordered up great weather with moderate temperatures, we have the use of Hunt Country's historic barn to provide us with cover from the hot sun, or cool summer rain.
Mornings in September can be cool, and afternoons can be warmer. Check the forcast and be prepared with layers, sunglasses, hats, sunscreen, and bug repelent.
The barn will also serve as "home base" where guests can stash bags and belongings throughout the event.
Coffee, tea, water, nibbles, and lunch will be staged in the barn as well.
Although food and hydration will be included, please feel free to bring your favorite vessel for water, and additional favorite beverages and snacks. Hydration is so important when participating in activities such as Yoga. There will also be local cheeses, picnic items, and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase in the Hunt Country tasting room.
Please arrive about 20 minutes early to sign in and get settled.
Our Trusted Leaders:
Jan Corning:
Jan received her certification from Ohra Studios in Bedford, NY in 2019 after practicing Yoga for ten years. She teaches a fitness based vinyasa flow at a level half. So, there is some challenge, but modifications are always offered. More advanced positions are rarely included in Jans class because she likes to keep the asanas available to everyone. She focusses on building strength, while increasing flexibility, and also focusing as always, on the breath. Her goal when teaching is to have the students feel as if they worked at something, and accomplished it!

Margaret has been practicing meditation for many years and is an active member of White Plains Zen meditation group in White Plains, NY. She has attended several week long retreats and served as a regular guest leader for “Lunchtime Meditation at the Library”.
